Job Summary
The Diesel Mechanic plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our fleet. By performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance, this position ensures the smooth operation of our trucks, vehicles, and diesel equipment. Duties and Responsibilities

Inspections and Diagnostics
- Conduct thorough vehicle condition
- Perform inspection and diagnostic testing of electrical systems, controls, and mechanical
- Identify worn or damaged parts requiring repair or replacement

Repairs and Maintenance
- Maintain and repair brakes, braking systems, engines, and all related chassis
- Correct vehicle issues by repairing, adjusting, assembling, and replacing
- Perform upgrades by installing new components and parts as
- Test vehicle performance through test drives and adjust controls, clutches, and other
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state

Safety and Documentation
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of PPE (safety goggles, gloves, boots, ).
- Maintain clean and safe workspaces and
- Complete detailed work orders and documentation of repairs and
- Report any incidents or safety concerns to management

Teamwork and Training
- Collaborate with team members to improve fleet
- Participate in cross-training and assist with other tasks as
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background
- Specialized training in heavy equipment, electrical diagnostics, brakes/wheel seals, and
Preferred:
- ASE Certification or equivalent
- Experience with specific brands or models of diesel
